Structure & Movement
Geoffrey is a handsome, masculine Golden Retriever who combines substance, balance, and athleticism with the elegant outline we value in the breed. He presents a pleasing overall balance, with good bone and substance, a strong topline, balanced proportions, and a well-constructed front and rear. His outline remains particularly attractive both standing and in motion.
Geoffrey truly comes alive when he moves. His gait is fluid, effortless, and ground-covering, with good reach and strong, purposeful rear drive. He carries himself with excellent balance and coordination and has the ability to hold his shape beautifully around the ring. There is a natural efficiency and smoothness to his movement that reflects the quality of his overall construction. Combined with his beautiful coat, masculine headpiece, and unmistakable ring presence, Geoffrey has the kind of presence that naturally draws the eye of both judges and spectators.
Temperament
Geoffrey has the wonderful Golden Retriever temperament we hope to preserve in our breeding program. He is exceptionally sweet, loving, and affectionate, with a genuine desire to please his people. At the same time, he is wonderfully biddable, intelligent, and responsive, while retaining a playful and engaging personality.
In the show ring, Geoffrey carries himself with confidence and presence, naturally commanding attention without losing his joyful Golden Retriever personality. His willingness to work, responsiveness to his handler, and happy, playful nature make him a pleasure to live with and show. For us, Geoffrey’s combination of structure, movement, presence, and temperament makes him a particularly compelling Golden Retriever.
