FLYING WITH A PUPPY

At this time I highly recommend Alaska. Many other airlines are not allowing puppies to be shipped. Here is the Alaska link

For anyone flying to pick up your puppy, I highly recommend upgrading to First Class if you can. It’s a lot easier to bring the puppy back under your seat in first class than coach. Coach still works though.

Find the airlines policy on transferring puppies. You may need to notify them in advance that you will have a puppy with you, and you may need to get a health certificate from a vet. The health certificate form is usually on their website. Google “traveling with a puppy on Alaska airlines” or whatever Airline you’re planning on using.

Remember your puppy is not safe from disease until its third vaccination round. Never let your puppy walk on the ground in public areas, especially where other dogs go. That’s why I use diapers when traveling.

These are items I use when flying with a puppy.

Remember not to put your puppy on the ground anywhere! Parvo can be on any surface.
